Winter Change Chapter 17 (Jack Frost X Reader)
What happened next was a little hazy. You were exhausted and half asleep. North had carried you and Jack to Jack's room as soon as you stepped in the door. You fell asleep fast. The last thing you remembered was Jack's hand on top of yours.
You woke up late in the morning. The bed was empty next to you. Jack must have woken up earlier.
You got out of bed and walked down the hallway into the bathroom. When you looked in the mirror, you noticed you still had your clothes on from yesterday. You slipped them off and stepped into the shower. The water felt nice and clean, like it was rinsing away the events of last night.

Colors run our world,
Choosing to define.
The colors of the sky define a day.
The colors of food define ripeness.
The colors of stars define age.
The colors of land define its use.
The colors of clouds define the weather.
But colors can be a curse as well
Because they can define a person.
The colors of clothes,
The colors of hair,
The colors of skin.

Its warmth,
Its promise of redemption.
Nothing can look away from its brightness,
Its liveliness,

my head but
sky and sun.
Too much below:
land divided,
bustling with activity.
Nothing in front
except another seat
and a glimmer of hope.
Leaving behind everything
I know and arriving
to the unknown.

with just a touch of fear:
the feeling of adventure.
A river is a thread.
Cars and people are ants.
Roads and highways are veins.
Buildings: merely sprinkles scattered here and there.
Boats aren’t in motion.
Buildings and people
that were once
numerous
are replaced by the
calming brightness
of clouds and sun.
